Tom Tom has launched version 1.11 of its iPhone/iPad app, a free upgrade for existing app users or €69.99 for new users in Apple’s App Store.
“A new way to find new places”
The latest version will now connect to your Foursquare profile, so you can use it to direct to your favourite Foursquare marked places, check-in and earn points in the same way you would on your Foursquare smartphone app.
The update also gives the user the latest maps with latest danger zones and operates within new guidelines set down in France for speed camera detection.
“Drivers now have new ways to find places with their TomTom app,” says Corinne Vigreux, Managing Director Consumer at TomTom. “This should be particularly helpful when people are off on holidays and day trips. They can find great places to visit and get there fast with foursquare or a quick copy-paste. And that leaves more time to relax and have fun.”
The new app makes the purchase of the latest smartphone holder even more attractive, see our report about that here.
