The new Ford B-MAX arrives here in September and Ford are expecting it to be a winner, based on the new Fiesta platform its rear sliding doors and pillarless design will most likely make it best in class for rear passenger entry and exit.
The B-MAX’s Easy Access Door System comprises of front hinged doors and rear sliding doors, the opening is 1.5 metres wide, made possible by a type of pillarless design which incorporates the pillar structure into the doors making use of its strength when the doors are closed. This unequalled in class wide aperture gives great access to the rear for passengers or for parents placing children in child seats or tending to their needs. See the infographic of the Easy Access Door System here.
The B-MAX is the first European Ford to come with Ford’s SYNC system. SYNC is a voice controlled system allowing the connection of mobile phones or music players via Bluetooth or USB giving you hands-free capability.
SYNC can also transfer your phone contacts to the car allowing you to make calls using voice commands and has the ability to read text messages aloud.
Ford’s SYNC system has already won the 2012 Global Mobile Awards “Best Mobile Innovation for Automotive, Transport or Utilities”
