Fords 1.0 Eco-Boost Engine Available In Future C-MAX and Grand C-MAX

From October this year Ford will offer their award winning 1.0 Eco-Boost engine in the C-MAX and Grand C-MAX.
Two versions will be made available, the 100ps which is expected to return 55.4mpg and CO2 of 117g/km or the 125ps with a thrifty 54.3mpg and CO2 of 119g/km.
Ford are relying on this little powerhouse to deliver big on sales by offering small engine economy, both with fuel consumption, road tax and other associated runing costs, but still retaining big engine performance. This critically acclaimed Eco-Boost engine has returned good sales figures across Europe since being fitted to the Focus with one quarter of its sales being fitted with the 1.0 engine.
They also predict that by 2015 more than half of its cars sold wil be fitted with Eco-Boost engines which are also available in 1.6 or 2.0 litre.
The updated C-MAX and Grand C-MAX will offer in-car connectivity system SYNC with Emergency Assistance; and advanced driver assistance technologies Active City Stop, Lane Keeping Aid, Lane Departure Warning, Auto High Beam, Driver Alert and Traffic Sign Recognition.
Customers will also be able to specify Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) and Power Tailgate options and the stylish new Burnished Glow colour.
