Nissan LEAF sets record at GoodWood

The Nissan LEAF has set the record for the fastest car over a measured mile, in reverse. The Driver, Terry Grant set the record on Friday and then went on to smash that time on Saturday and Sunday.
Achieving an average speed of 55mph up the famous Goodwood hillclimb course he finally set the record at 1m 37.02s, which was 26 seconds faster than his first record time.
The record breaking attempt is part of Nissan’s social media campaign, The Big Turn On. Its aim being to get 1 million consumers turned on to electric driving, a goal they achieved on the 21st of June, 15 days ahead of target.
