Renault bring back Scrappage, or as its now known, Scrapattoni

Its just about a year since the end of the government scrappage scheme and it really has been missed. When the scheme ended last year new car sales were reported to have fallen by up to 36% when compared to the same months in the previous year. These incentives are missed by consumers who would like to trade up from their older cars but fall short on cash.
Enter Renault Ireland because for the month of June 2012 they are re-introducing their own scrappage scheme, or as they call it Scrapattoni, they are giving an extra €1500 on top of the current offer and a five year unlimited mileage warranty to customers buying a new Renault car.
Eric Basset, MD of Renault Ireland said:
Scrappage worked for the motor industry in Ireland. Renault wants to again give customers a chance to cash in on their old vehicles and to purchase a brand new Renault with the added bonus of 5 years unlimited mileage warranty and great 0% APR finance offers. If the Government won’t bring it back then it’s up to us to bring scrappage back!
