Good news for Kia and Jaguar in JD Power survey

The JD Power/What Car? survey is probably one of the best surveys for real feedback to manufacturers from people who are using their cars in everyday situations. With that in mind the winners of the survey really do have something to celebrate, and the losers while not happy at least they come away armed with information to make improvements.
For Kia whose Sportage not only claimed the top spot but also became the first SUV to achieve first place on its first entry into the survey, there would be no going back to the drawing board. It seems they’ve got it right. According to What Car? the Kia was the only car to score five stars across all categories citing thoughtful design, reliability and value for money as its shining attributes, no doubt the 7 year 150,000km transferable warranty helped the satisfaction rating too.
When Bob drove the Sportage last year he reckoned it was “A Masterpiece” and was really quite taken by it, you can see his video review here.
Jaguar Cars also have cause for celebration, they achieved first place in the manufacturer survey and the Jaguar XF finished second in the overall survey, an impressive rise of 15 places in 12 months.
Commenting on the survey results Adrian Hallmark, Global Brand Director Jaguar Cars, said:
It’s tremendous to have such customer recognition of our commitment to delivering quality, technology and a world-class ownership experience. This is a huge accomplishment and a tremendous honour to achieve the Number One spot. Now we’re at this point, we will work with even greater energy to sustain this performance.
