Get yer Saabs, get yer Saabs, last few left Guv, you won’t see these for sale again, only 26 left. All right hand drive an’ all dat! Lovely jubbly. You know it makes sense.
A line soon to be quoted by SAAB salesmen across the UK as they try to shift the last remaining right hand drive 9-3 convertibles. ANA in Trollhättan have been working tirelessly to knock out 26 of these to go on sale in the UK. Prices start at £22,750 and each car is etched with a limited edition number on the rear side windows, it may just be an investment in a piece of history but would you be willing to buy it as an everyday driver?
There’s no mention of warranty and with the company all but gone since last December who would offer the warranty? Its hard to see independent service centres offering anything as it wouldn’t be financially viable. When it was announced that SAAB was bankrupt last year, Quentin Willson announced he would offer a “Like for Like” warranty on all SAABs registered after March 2009, see warrantywise.co.uk, but will this include these cars which were built out of hours?
If you do invest in one you can expect a long list of options as standard including park assist, five spoke satin finish 18 inch wheels, leather seats with orange stitching, matching the paint job and all finished off with an ample amount of grey piping. Tasty.
No mention of Irish sales but I’m sure if you wanted one a UK dealer would be happy to talk to you, www.saab.co.uk.
