We at the Next Gear are big fans of the little Panda, it’s the kind of car that Fiat do very well. Small and nippy with a lot of style. James May from Top Gear had one so what not to like there! Now Fiat Ireland have brought in a 4×4 version and by all accounts its very good.
Despite intense demand in the UK and across Europe, FIAT Group Automobiles Ireland has managed to secure a limited number of the FIAT Panda 4X4 for Irish customers this winter.
The newly re-introduced Fiat Panda 4X4 is Ireland’s most affordable all-wheel drive vehicle, priced at just €14,295, and it’s already selling out. Powered by a 69hp 1.2-litre engine, the FIAT Panda 4X4 combines incredible versatility with impressive fuel economy figure (6.0L/100km on the combined cycle) and low, Band B annual road tax.
Despite costing less than the average supermini, the FIAT Panda 4X4 Climbing is equipped with on-demand (and lockable) all-wheel drive; a revised suspension with increased ground clearance; special 14-inch alloy wheels with mud-and-snow tyres and beefed-up styling to reflect its all-weather versatility.
The FIAT Panda 4X4 is no less well prepared for the summer with air conditioning fitted to all models, while other standard features include front fog-lights, roof rails, remote central locking and electric front windows.
